6th Meeting (2008)
The 6th meeting was held on 2nd May, 2008, at Retter Auditorium, at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (BPEI) after the 2008 ARVO (Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology) meeting. The meeting was hosted by BPEI Chairman Eduardo Alfonso, MD and presided by Sonia Yoo, MD.
Meeting Program
The 6th Accommodation Club meeting fielded six sessions covering fundamental knowledge relating to the accommodation system, cause of presbyopia, methods and devices for restoring accommodation, and strategies for overcoming LEC proliferation.
As for the 4th (2004) and 5th (2006) meetings, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute generously provided the meeting venue and audio-visual support free of charge. In addition, the Vision Cooperative Research Centre and the Institute for Eye Research (now the Brien Holden Vision Institute) generously contributed towards catering and administrative support.
