8th Meeting (2012)
The 8th meeting will be held at the Jose Berrocal Auditorium at the Retter Educational Center of Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (BPEI) after the 2012 ARVO (Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology) meeting.
The 7th Meeting saw a reinvigoration in the debate about the various drivers of accommodation and contributing factors to presbyopia. In addition, recent developments in imaging technology relevant to study of anterior segment and especially the crystalline lens were show-cased raising promises of new knowledge and understanding in the field. We will have the chance to follow the continuation of these lines of discussion and technology development at the 8th Meeting.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS (Note extended submission deadline)
The 8th Accommodation Club meeting will field sessions covering fundamental knowledge relating to the accommodation system, cause of presbyopia, methods and devices for restoring accommodation, strategies for overcoming LEC proliferation and controlling lens growth.
All Accommodation Club meeting presentations are strictly FIVE MINUTES in duration MAXIMUM to permit time for extended, detailed discussions.
Please indicate by email your intention to attend by 20 April 2012.
An attendance fee of $85 is payable on the day of the meeting. The Accommodation Club is a solely non-profit, voluntary group. The attendee fee goes towards providing for the facilities (e.g. audio-visual support, tea/coffee, etc) for the meeting.
Students who provide proof of current enrolment in a relevant field of study are exempt from payment of the attendance fee.
If an invoice or payment receipt is required, please indicate by email at least two weeks ahead of the meeting.
